Pinay is a village situated on the tourist route to the Gorges de la Loire in the extreme north of the territory Mountain Morning. His past is very old: a Gallo-Roman oppidum dominated the Loire, strategic direction of the time. Pinay is known for its dike built to control the fiery course of the river at that point.
